Thank you for your continued commitment to patient care and your ongoing response to COVID-19 cases. We wanted to advise you that the national public health emergency period has been extended to April 20, 2021. It was previously scheduled to end Jan. 20, 2021. Below is an overview of how that extension affects temporary provisions for COVID-19 testing and testing-related visits, as well as a summary of the other temporary provisions currently in place for COVID-19 treatment and skilled nursing facility (SNF) prior authorizations.
