2022 Healthcare Predictions
Despite the pandemic maintaining its grip on virtually every part of the economy, there are areas where the healthcare industry can speed up innovation. Oliver Wyman identified a handful of these Opportunities in Motion during their 2021 Health Innovation Summit. 2022 may be a year in which we see a few other disruptions become normalized. Is this the New Year for your clinical and financial workflows?
New Year, New You. Sound familiar? It’s that time of year where we start to look inward to the areas where we can make small improvements in our lives. It’s the time where we set goals for ourselves, such as eating healthier, sleeping more, and drinking less caffeine. While most of our New Year resolutions and goals are more on the personal side, why not take that New Year’s energy and insert it into your Practice’s operations and employee satisfaction?
We all get lost in the everyday monotony, just trying to get through each day as quickly and effortlessly as possible. We sometimes forget to look up and ask “Why?” We can get tunnel vision and sometimes do things without thought. You know that expression, “Well, we have always done it this way.”
For 2022, let’s add curiosity back into your everyday and start asking why and what again.
For example:
- Hmm, I wonder what this button does?
- Ugh, I struggle trying to find a CPE slot to book patient appointments. I wonder if there is a
quicker way to find these slots?
Other questions you may want to be considering include:
- When was the last time my Practice’s templates were updated?
- When was the last time my organization even made a template?
- What are we doing with Order Sets? Lab/DI Alias Groupings?
- When have we last created or updated things such as user favorites lists?
Do your patients ever ask you things about the Portal that you don’t know the answer to? A few commonly asked questions may be:
- Are my lab results going to be visible on the portal?
- Will I be able to send a question to my provider regarding a new medication or diagnosis I
was given?
As organizations implement EHRs into their practices, and Go Live/New Provider Onboarding is completed, users lose their curiosity and just “click the button they were told to.” We forget to look around and ask questions.
This is where Ero Health can help. Did you know that we can do training sessions 1:1 or in group sessions on any topic that you and/or your organization have? Ero Health Trainers can be scheduled in blocks of time (2 hours minim.) and review any topic/questions you have.
When was the last timeYOU looked around? Is there anything that your organization would benefit from if you sat down with a certified eClinicalWorks’ Ero Health trainer and reviewed your system and processes? With this new year, take the time to look around and start asking your staff questions about eClinicalWorks again.
Is there anything that you or your team would love to learn about or review? Is there anything that you would like someone to sit down with to review your workflows? If so, we are here to help. Simply just reach out to Ero Health by calling:(636) 306-5699 or emailing us at: info@ero.health
